Essential cookies support sign-in, security, and one active community-poll vote per anonymous browser. If you sign in, the vote is linked to your account so it can follow you across devices and private-browsing sessions. The anonymous poll cookie contains a signed random identifier, not your name or IP address.

For poll-abuse review, we may retain a one-day rotating HMAC made from a coarse network prefix, browser family, and language. It is not used as voter identity or to block everyone on a shared connection, and raw IP addresses are not stored with new votes.

If you accept optional analytics, we record a random browser identifier, pages viewed, referrer, broad device/browser type, and request precise GPS for active-visit analytics. Your browser or phone always controls whether GPS access is granted. We do not store your raw IP address.

Find My Polling Unit requests browser coordinates only when you choose that feature. For analytics, choosing Accept analytics starts the browser’s required location-permission request without an additional WhoGoWinAm GPS popup. If browser access is allowed, the site records an initial high-accuracy GPS point and, while the website remains active, another point after at least 100 metres of movement or five minutes. Each point includes its time, page and device-reported accuracy. Tracking stops when the website closes or the browser suspends it. Location history is retained for 30 days, can be disabled or deleted anytime, and never falls back to IP geolocation.

Core hosting and authentication providers process data needed to operate the service. Optional Google Analytics and advertising services load only after consent. Map or routing services receive coordinates only when you invoke a location-based search.

We retain information only while it supports the service, security, legal obligations, or the purpose disclosed. Any visitor can disable future GPS collection and clear coordinates linked to the current anonymous analytics ID. Signed-in users can also delete account-linked location history immediately.
